 Here is this year's Christmas Card inspired by a photo on 'Paint my Photo' website by Dave Webb. Dave volunteers at the S.W. Deer Rescue Centre on Exmoor - they're going to use this painting to raise funds. I feel compelled to say "Dear Deer!" whenever I think about it. groan. sorry.
I'm knitting like crazy to finish a few christmas presents - but I have also found time to complete a commission to paint a jewellery box with a buttercup fairy for 4yr old Isabel. The recipient was very happy and emailed me this: "That is AMAZING! Thank you SO much. Isabel is absolutely going to love it. Can't wait to give it to her tomorrow now! Have a fabulous Christmas, Thanks again, Lucy" And with that sentiment I'll wish all my readers the same: Have a very good Christmas and all good wishes for the New Year.  I'm so enjoying being back at 'art class' with Mike McDonald - he has lots of tips to offer and is always positive and patient. Here's what I did yesterday. It feels good to work quickly and always fun to see what the watercolour decides to do.
